Explore Lake Jesup on an exciting 30-minute airboat ride near Orlando. The lake is home to an estimated 13,000 alligators, along with wading birds, turtles, cattle along the shoreline and other native Florida wildlife. Your captain will search the lake and may visit areas such as historic Bird Island while giving your group a fun, memorable ride across the water.
Wildlife sightings, including alligator sightings, are never guaranteed, but our captains will do their best to find wildlife and show you the natural beauty of Lake Jesup.

Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but our captains will do their best to locate wildlife while providing a fun and memorable nighttime ride.

What time should I arrive?

Are reservations required?
Reservations are strongly recommended because seating and departure times are limited. Walk-ins may be available for standard 30-minute rides, but availability is not guaranteed. Some specials, private charters, group tours, sunset rides and night rides require advance or online reservations. Rides departing after 5:00 p.m., when available, may include a $20 convenience charge per group.
Are there age requirements?
There are no minimum age or height requirements. Children under 2 may sit on an adult’s lap or beside them. Children under 6 must wear the provided life vest and ear protection and must also wear eye protection, such as sunglasses. Eye protection is recommended for all passengers.
What is the best time to ride?
Every season offers a different experience. During the hot summer months, morning and late-afternoon rides generally provide cooler, more comfortable temperatures and can be good times to look for wildlife. During cooler weather, warmer parts of the day may be more comfortable. Wildlife activity varies, so sightings are never guaranteed.
What is the appropriate attire?
Wear comfortable clothing and secure shoes. In summer and early fall, dress lightly and bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. In cooler months, wear layers. Sunglasses or other eye protection are strongly recommended for adults and required for children under 6.
Am I guaranteed to see gators?
No. Alligators and other wildlife are wild, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. Lake Jesup is home to an estimated 13,000 alligators, and our captains will do their best to search the lake and shoreline. Even when gators are difficult to find, the ride includes the excitement of traveling by airboat and opportunities to see birds, turtles, cattle, Bird Island and other Florida wildlife.
What kind of equipment do you use?
Life vests and ear protection are provided for passengers. Children under 6 are required to wear the provided life vest and ear protection, along with eye protection such as sunglasses. Adults are also strongly encouraged to wear eye protection, which may be brought from home or purchased in the Gift Shop.
Are pets allowed on the boat?
Pets are not permitted on airboat rides or near the water for the safety of passengers, wildlife and the animals themselves. Service animals are permitted. Please contact us before your visit so we can discuss safe accommodations.
